Loved this interview Sarah! I often think about the idea Karen speaks of - that so many writers are waiting for permission to write, when really the only person that needs to give it to you is yourself!

Thanks, Darcy, and I agree! A related idea that really resonated with me was the concept of “real writers”—that a special few are real writers, and by extension that the rest of us aren’t.

Re Murder Week, I think so too! I loved Fellowship Point, and its story of a long friendship. And yes, Alice Elliot Dark has a great Substack, about writing--craft, process, writing life.
